Winter Reading 2021: Books for Gr. 4-7 students this break!

Winter break is here, and with the cold weather forecast, we may be in for some inside days. Why not curl up with a hot drink and good book?

We're continuing our winter reading series with three recommendations for Grade 4 to 7 students from Cedar Hills Elementary teacher-librarian Colleen Heidrich here's what's on her list for pre-teens this winter break.

The Fabulous Zed Watson! by Basil & Kevin Silvester

An adventure, a mystery, a road trip, a book within a book, and all that with an amazing cast of characters, including Zed and their friend Gabe. So much fun!

Amari and the Night Brothers by B.B. Alston

This is the beginning of an amazing fantasy series where Amari is given the power to see a whole new world that she didn't know existed! She is on the hunt for her brother who went missing. Will she find him?

The List of Things that Will Not Change by Rebecca Stead

Realistic fiction about a girl named Bea who is trying to figure out living in two places after her parents get divorced. When her dad says he's getting remarried, she might also get a sister, but what does that mean?
