Policy 8210 - Non-Instructional Days

The Surrey Board of Education supports and is committed to the concept of non- instructional days as a professional development vehicle.
A number of such non-instructional days are currently provided in the school calendar published by the Ministry of Education. The superintendent of schools shall develop regulations regarding the planning, notification and approval of non-instructional days. Dates and programs for non-instructional days must be approved by the superintendent of schools who will provide a periodic report to the board on the use of non-instructional days throughout Surrey School District No. 36 (Surrey).
