Policy 7805 - Principals and Vice Principals - Performance Reviews and Professional Learning Plans


Principals and vice principals provide leadership in schools through the development of school environments which promote continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
The Surrey Board of Education acknowledges that the work of principals and vice principals is wide-ranging and complex and requires thoughtful practitioners who constantly strive to improve their performance. Effective leaders routinely reflect on their practice, seek feedback from others, and develop evidence-based plans to further their professional learning.
The superintendent is responsible to the board for ensuring that principals and vice principals engage in a process that is based upon best practices with a focus on continual improvement.
