Policy 7710 - Professional Development
| The Surrey Board of Education recognizes the importance and desirability of maintaining, developing and extending the skills and abilities of all members of the School District No. 36 (Surrey) staff. The board, therefore, encourages all personnel to participate in programs and activities which will lead to professional growth, expansion of skills and abilities, and increased job competence. The board will make provision in the annual operating budget for professional development funding. | ||||
| The school district will endeavour to provide such professional development opportunities for staff as may be practicable within financial and staff time constraints. | ||||
| The superintendent of schools may issue regulations to this policy, setting out expectations for professional development activities and participation therein, and establishing procedures to be followed with respect to professional development. | ||||
