Policy 7270 - Employee Attendance Support Program


The Surrey Board of Education recognizes the contribution each employee makes to the achievement of the district’s goals and provision of services.
The board believes that an employee’s attendance at work is important and is committed to addressing the issue of employee absence in a positive manner by:
1. Promoting early intervention strategies to assist employees who experience attendance difficulties.
2. Supporting programs and practices which encourage employees who have been absent to return to the work place.
3. Applying the Employee Attendance Support Program in a consistent and supportive manner.
4. Encouraging personal well-being.
