| The Surrey Board of Education believes it is appropriate to bestow recognition by way of gifts to visiting dignitaries and guests to the school district. |
| The board believes the gift(s) must reflect the importance of the dignitaries and their position within the visiting organization, as well as the number of persons to be recognized. |
