Policy 2920 - Trustees' Honorarium

Trustees’ Honorarium

Trustees elected to serve on the Surrey Board of Education are to be provided with an honorarium for their work related to the business of the board.

Trustees’ honorarium shall be fixed annually to coincide with the school district’s budget year, specifically, July 1 to June 30 of the following year.

In recognition of the added responsibilities of the chairperson and vice-chairperson, the honorarium paid to the chairperson and vice-chairperson will be set at respectively higher rates than the base rate.
