LSB (Learning Support Block)

Our students with an LSB block have a mild intellectual disability and may need academic and/or social support. The LSB teacher may provide support in their academic classes and during their LSB block. These students have Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and are working towards goals determined by the student, family, case manager and team. LSB students may be working towards a Dogwood Diploma or an Evergreen Diploma based on their future goals and individual capabilities. The skills taught in LSB may include functional skills such learning how to budget, taking public transportation and practicing for job interviews. 

Ultimately, it is our goal to develop skills that will maximize the potential of each student.
