Career-Life Courses
Career-Life Education 10 (CLE10) and Career-Life Connections 12 (CLC12) are ministry-required courses for senior students. Students must pass both CLE 10 and CLC 12 in order to graduate. CLE is a pre-requisite to CLC.
Career-Life Education (CLE10)
Is designed to help students imagine some preferred life pathways and map out what steps in high school best support their goals. Classes complete units on:
- Career Exploration and Training
- Community Citizenship
- Employability Skills
- Financial Literacy
- Goal Setting
- Identity

Career-Life Connections (CLC12)
Is designed to help students hone in on a particular preferred life pathway and map out what steps in young adulthood best support their goals. Classes complete units on:
- Career Selection
- Employability Skills
- Financial Literacy for Life
- Identity
- Post-Secondary Planning, Applications, and Funding
In addition to the above units, CLC includes the ministry-required Capstone project. A capstone is a culminating learning experience, designed to share and celebrate the skills students have developed in their K-12 learning career. PLEASE NOTE: students must pass both the Capstone project and the CLC course content to get their Career-Life Connections 12 credit for graduation.
