Co-Op Opportunities

Co-Op is a program available to senior students, targeted at grade 11s. Co-Op students participate in a semester-long learning cohort and earn credit for their themed courses, Career-Life Connections 12, and Work Experience 12.

Interested grade 10 students must apply for grade 11 during the course selection time in February.

In the 2023-24 school year, five Co-Op themes are being run:

  • Automotive (full day)
  • ELL (half day, both semesters)
  • Entrepreneurship (half day)
  • Humanities (full day)
  • Robotics (half day)

Students spend time in class participating in lessons related to their theme and to CLC's big ideas. On certain weeks, students are released from classes to attend an unpaid Work Experience opportunity to practice their employability skills, gain experience and a reference for their resume, and explore the world of work—all while earning credit for school.

Your Co-Op contact person is Ms. McGarry.
