The Core Competencies are an integral part of learning at North Surrey Secondary.  We work together as a community to further our student’s understanding and appreciation for the various sets of intellectual, personal, and social and emotional proficiencies that all students need in order to engage in deep, lifelong learning.   Please follow this link to our Core Competencies website for more information about monthly themes, events, photos and more! 

We also work together to connect the competencies to various themes throughout our school year. 

Themes 

Students will have an opportunity to self-reflect on these themes in class, throughout this school year!  Beginning in the 2023, the Core Competencies and Goal Setting will be reported to families as part of our reporting cycle.  More information will follow about login to the student Spaces Portfolio page where student self-reflections will be stored and viewable by parents.
