Graduation 2022
Dear Parents/Guardians and Graduates,
South Surrey White Rock Learning Centre will be hosting the 2022 Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, June 9th, at Peace Portal Alliance Church. Graduating students are encouraged to attend!
Our staff is already planning for this event and there are some details which we will continue to share with grads and their families as the date gets closer. At this time, we would like to share the following information:
- Tickets are now available through Tina or Lesley in the Resource Area.
Grads can invite up to 4 guests to attend the event. Tickets for guests are $2.00. No charge for grads.
- Gowns - Grads should see Lesley or Tina in the Resource Area to make sure they have been fitted for a gown. Gowns and stoles must be returned at the end of the event but the caps are yours to keep.
- Grads will need to arrive at the location between 1:00 - 1:15 PM to receive their gowns, caps, stoles and get prepared for the ceremony.
- Grad Checklist - At this time, graduating students should make sure they meet with our counsellor Gurj to confirm that the graduation checklist has been completed.
- Artona Photography will be at the graduation and will be taking individual photos of the graduates with their certificate.
As we continue our preparations for the Graduation Ceremony, grads should ensure that they have submitted their grad write up to Gurj gill_gurjeevan@surreyschools.ca if they have not already done so.
If you are UNABLE or CHOOSE NOT to attend the Graduation Ceremony on June 9, you can also inform us by email at whiterocklc@surreyschools.ca or by phone at 604-536-0550. Again, it is important that you inform us of your intentions no later than noon on June 6th so we can plan accordingly.
We hope to see as many Graduates as possible as this is a very important milestone and special celebration.
