School Office Clerk Certificate

Surrey College is pleased to offer our newest certificate program – School Office Clerk Certificate.
This program will focus on the technical and interpersonal skills you will need to be effective in a school office environment. After successful completion of the Certificate Program, students will be qualified to work as an Office Clerk in an Elementary or Secondary school.
This program runs for 12 weeks and will include two practicums of one week each, in a Surrey school office, under the supervision of a clerical mentor. Students will learn the basics of school office procedures, gain experience connecting with students, staff and families, safety preparedness, professional writing, basic bookkeeping, and Office 365 applications.
Instruction will include:
Office 365 – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Safety and Emergency Preparedness
A 2-week practicum in one of the Surrey School District's schools
Cohorts are expected to run October, and February dependent upon enrollment.
