Social Studies helps students develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to become active, informed, and responsible citizens. Through inquiry, critical thinking, and the exploration of diverse perspectives, students develop a deeper understanding of the people, places, events, and systems that shape our world.

In Surrey Schools, Social Studies learning encourages students to investigate authentic questions, analyze evidence, engage in meaningful discussion, and apply their learning to real-world contexts.
