Board/Authority Authorized (BAA) Courses
Board/Authority Authorized (BAA) Courses provide opportunities for schools and districts to develop locally relevant courses that extend beyond the provincial curriculum. These courses allow educators to respond to students interests, community needs, emerging fields of study, and unique learning opportunities.
BAA courses support innovative learning opportunities that reflect the unique needs and interests of students and communities. These course may:
- Address local priorities and community interests
- Support specialized areas of learning
- Provide opportunities for career exploration
- Extend learning beyond the provincial curriculum
- Contribute toward graduation requirements
