Panorama Ridge Thunder take Surrey kabaddi championship

The Panorama Ridge Thunder are the 2022 Surrey High School Kabaddi champions

Panorama Ridge Secondary was crowned the 2022 Surrey high school kabaddi champion following a hard-fought match against Queen Elizabeth Secondary last Friday.

Held at Panorama Ridge Secondary, both teams braved the pounding rain and a soggy pitch to compete before a crowd of about 200 as they ran, wrestled and slid their way back-and-forth to a 51-27 score in Panorama’s favour.

The championship capped off the return season of kabaddi in Surrey Schools following a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The results of the day’s matches were as follows:

Play-in Game: 
Surrey Khalsa vs. Tamanawis (W)

Semi Finals: 
Panorama Ridge (W) vs. Tamanawis 
Queen Elizabeth (W) vs. Enver Creek 

Finals:
Panorama Ridge (W) vs. Queen Elizabeth
