Terry Fox Run this Friday, September 20th
On Friday, September 20 our students will be taking part in the annual Terry Fox school run.
Grade K-3 students will be running around the grass field at Woodward Hill Elementary from 1:10 - 1:40. Grade 4-7 students will be running around the grass field at Woodward Hill Elementary from 1:55-2:25.
This is a rain or shine activity. Students need to be dressed for the run and weather, wearing appropriate shoes and bring a water bottle. Parents are welcome to participate in the event.
Students will have the opportunity to discuss the heroic efforts of Terry Fox over the week and raise much needed funds for cancer research. Through their participation in the annual School Run, we hope that our students will view themselves as positive agents of change in the fight against cancer, just like Terry.
We are encouraging students to DONATE A TOONIE FOR TERRY. Bring in a toonie to the classroom teacher during Terry Fox week. You can also donate on line. Visit our schools fundraising page here.
All funds raised will be forwarded to The Terry Fox Foundation.
We are very pleased to be a part of this year's Terry Fox Event as we encourage our students to develop a sense of volunteerism and goodwill, while celebrating school spirit. Thank you in advance for your support!
