Student Clubs
Elgin Park Secondary School prides itself on the wide variety of Student initiated clubs.
Students can meet new friends, discover new interests, build on existing skills, find a new hobby, enhance valuable soft skills such as communication, teamwork, time management, organization and learn leadership. These are building blocks students lay for a solid foundation of personal and professional growth.
All clubs welcome new members throughout the year and students can join simply by attending a scheduled meeting.
If you want to start a new club: please pick up a club registration form from the main office. Register your club early in September so your club can participate in Clubs Day.
NOTE: Clubs are not automatically accepted. Club registrations are reviewed and approved by the Vice Principal.
Each fall Student Council hosts a "Clubs Day" where students from grades 8-12 can meet club executives, learn about clubs and sign up to join. This is a "maximum energy" event held in the main hallway, not to be missed!
Club expectations:
Clubs are a great way to meet new people, show leadership and school Spirit!
Remember that your club should have clear organizational structure.
It is strongly encouraged to develop leaders within your clubs so they can carry on in future years.
A teacher sponsor is mandatory and they must be involved in your meetings, events and fundraisers.
If your club would like to hold an event or a fundraiser/sale at school, and Event Proposal form MUST be completed and approved by Admin. The form is available at the office. NOTE: not every event is approved.
