Sports Day Reminder
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Please see the information below regarding Sports Day this Friday, June 7. We are excited that the weather forecast is for sun! If the weather cooperates, and we have an outside Sports Day, families are welcome to join us on this day.
Sports Day is happening on Friday, June 7. The theme for Sports Day this year is “Olympics.” If the weather cooperates and Sports Day is an outside day, we invite all families to join us on this day for our outside portions of the day.
On this day, your child can dress in Olympic colours (Blue, yellow, black, green, red). Please ensure your child has a hat, water bottle, and sunscreen for the day. Our PAC will be running a concession stand, and there will be freezies available for sale for $1.00 as well. All fundraising proceeds will go towards purchasing classroom resources.
Sports Day ends at 1:30. If you are taking your child/children home at this time, you must notify your child’s teacher (s).
Schedule of Events:
- 8:35: Attendance in classrooms
- 8:45: Running games on outside grass field
- 10:05: Students return to classrooms for Snack
- 10:15-10:30: Recess
- 10:30: Stations in the Gym (Olympic Theme)
- 11:40: Return to classrooms for lunch
- 12:25: Attendance in classrooms
- 12:40: Grade Group cheers and School-wide Games
- 1:30: Students return to classrooms
Please note that the Concession that will be offered by PAC is for snacks only. Your child should still bring a lunch as they normally would. We will send out a list of concession items that will be available later this week.
