Dear Sullivan Heights Secondary Community,
After careful consultation with family, the Surrey Police Service (SPS), and the District, we are forwarding the following SPS media release to our family community related to Chayton Binning, a Sullivan Heights student who has been missing since Tuesday evening.
If you or your child have information that could help with locating him and confirming his safety, please contact 911 or the SPS at 604-599-0502 and quote file 26-4326 (SP).
Counselling and emotional support is available at the school for students who may be affected by this situation - please encourage your child to connect with a school counsellor or administrator as needed.

File: 2026-4326 (SP)
Surrey Police Service (SPS) is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing 16-year-old youth.
Chayton Binning was last seen at approximately 5:00 pm on January 13, 2026, in the area of 146 Street and 64 Avenue, Surrey. He has not been seen or heard from since.
Chayton Binning is described as South Asian, 5’10”, 180 lbs, with curly black hair and brown eyes. (please see photo below). He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, black pants, dark navy jacket and black shoes.
He has no phone and is believed to be on foot. All attempts to locate him have been unsuccessful and police and family are concerned and are requesting assistance from the public, media and social media to assist in locating him. He is known to frequent the Surrey and Langley area.
Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Chayton Binning is requested to contact SPS at 604-599-0502 and quote file 26-4326 (SP).
