District Authority Scholarship Instructions Grads of 2026
Hello Grade 12 Sullivan Students!
Please read the following regarding in-school scholarships.
The form will OPEN Friday, March 6th at 8:00 am and it will CLOSE on Tuesday, April 28th at 4:00 pm.
In-School and District Authority Scholarships are due on April 28 by 4:00 PM.
Late applications will not be accepted.
For IN-SCHOOL scholarships:
Take the time to read through the application in advance and look at what information will
be required.
Note that the evidence for Athletics, Volunteer, Academics and Extra-Curricular has a
character count of 1000 characters per response. We recommend that you formulate your
responses in advance in a separate word document and copy and paste when the time
comes to complete and submit your application. You cannot start and stop the application,
and keeping the window open for multiple days in a row can sometimes cause a student to
accidentally close the window or refresh unintentionally, losing your responses. Hence,
writing them in advance and completing it in one sitting will prevent such problems.
Once you hit submit you should get a confirmation on screen. If you are unsure if it was
submitted successfully, feel free to connect with Ms. Rac in the office.
You will be required to submit a name of a teacher who can serve as a reference for you.
You DO NOT need a reference letter from that teacher, however, asking them in advance if
they will serve as your reference, is a courtesy.
Your best 5 grade 12 courses, plus English 12, will be used to calculate your GPA. Students
must take a minimum of 6 classes in their grade 12 year at Sullivan Heights to qualify for In-
School scholarships. Summer School, SAIL or other distributed learning courses are not
included in this calculation. If your English 12 course is not completed or taken online, we
will use your grade 11 English mark.
