PAC (Parent Advisory Committee)

PAC stands for “Parent Advisory Council”. What does PAC do? We support the students, teachers and administration. How? We sit on committees. We share information. We have a voice in the education of our child by attending PAC meetings. We make popcorn.  We volunteer at Book Fairs to raise $ for our library to buy books. We fundraise to purchase equipment either not supplied by government or the School District or to supplement existing equipment (such as playground equipment, i-pads, smart boards, document cameras, chairs, outdoor digital sign, etc). Without a PAC Executive, our school would not receive approximately $12,000.00 in additional government funds – PAC must make the government application, file reports to the government and distributes the money to the school based on very strict guidelines. These funds are used for fieldtrips, school-wide tennis program, live theatre & more. Without fundraising we would not have more than the basics-every dollar counts and the more involved parents there are, then the more we can accomplish together.

So what is PAC?  PAC are PARENTS just like you that make a difference for ALL SIMON CUNNINGHAM students. Get involved with PAC and really make a difference in your child’s school experience!

Who can be in PAC?  EVERYONE WHO HAS A CHILD ATTENDING SIMON CUNNINGHAM IS AN AUTOMATIC MEMBER OF PAC – NO SIGN UP, NO SECRET HANDSHAKE – IF YOU ARE A PARENT AT SIMON CUNNINGHAM THEN YOU ARE ALREADY   A  MEMBER OF PAC!
