Student Fundraiser

Our Grade 5/6 students in Div. 4, 5, and 6 from Ms. Chang’s, Ms. Han’s, and Mr. Docksteader’s classes truly showed what young entrepreneurs and community leaders can accomplish. During this year’s JA Entrepreneur Fair, students launched their own small businesses and sold creative, handmade items such as slingshots, crocheted jellyfish, hearts, stuffed animals, resin keychains, hand‑designed beach bags, plushies, and slime. They chose to donate a portion of their profits—ranging from 10% all the way to 100%—to support the Surrey Food Bank.
To help us reach our fundraising goal, our classes also organized a school‑wide freezie sale, and the response was incredible. The turnout “blew the roof off,” with students and staff lining up to support the cause and cheer on our young philanthropists.
Thanks to the combined efforts of the Entrepreneur Fair and the freezie sale, students raised over $1,300 this year.
Together, our school community demonstrated the power of teamwork, compassion, and social responsibility. This is philanthropy in the making, and we are excited to continue building this tradition of giving in the years ahead.
