Stream of Dreams

At the end of January, the Pacific Salmon Foundation sponsored the students and staff at Hjorth Road Elementary to participate in the Stream of Dreams Project. Students had the opportunity to learn more about streams and their importance. Each participant was also given a salmon to paint, which will be proudly displayed as a mural attached to the exterior fence of our school this spring. This will be a terrific way to show the community that we are dedicated to protecting our streams and their inhabitants for future generations. A huge thank you to Mrs. Lomanski, our teacher librarian, for coordinating this project for us!
