Tips For A Successful Portrait Session

Hey there, awesome parents! Time to help your kids get ready for Picture Day.

Remember, it’s all about your child, not just their outfit. So, let’s keep it simple and avoid flashy slogans, logos, and crazy patterns. Opt for a cool and casual look! Don’t make them wear something that makes them uncomfortable. When they feel at ease, it will reflect in the final portrait. A genuine smile in a relaxed outfit is better than a forced smile in something they don’t want to wear. Involve your children in choosing their outfit; you’ll be glad you did when you see the results. A happy child equals great expressions every time!

Small jewelry and accessories are totally cool, but let's not go overboard with anything too big or distracting. Less is more, right?

You will end up with two cropping versions of each of the two images we will capture, each will offer a ¾ option and a tighter head and shoulder option. If you wanted to make sure the pants selected, skirt or dress are part of the final portrait, this will be an option for you when you place your order.

Your child will be photographed in front of a special grey background. This means there are no restrictions on the colors you can wear! Any color of the rainbow or shades not found in a traditional rainbow will work and will result in an impressive background removal effect. We promise!

If your child wears glasses, no worries at all! Our skilled photographers are experienced in dealing with glare issues.

When it comes to hairstyles, anything goes! Whether it's a fresh cut or letting it grow out a bit, your child will rock it either way.

Let's embrace authenticity and naturalness. There's no need to practice those smiles – genuine ones are the best. Our photography team possesses a wealth of techniques to bring out your child's natural smile. You can leave this to us with confidence.

Don't worry about achieving perfection! Those charming quirks, like sticking-up hair or a missing tooth, are what make your child unique. You'll undoubtedly cherish these memories for years to come.

On Picture Day, we'll be vigilant about details such as popped-up collars, hoodie strings that are out of place, and shirts meticulously pulled down on the front to minimize wrinkles. We'll also address other minor details that we spot and rectify before capturing the photo.

If your child has a minor scrape, cut, blemish, or wakes up with a bothersome cold sore on their lip on photo day, rest assured that these imperfections will be retouched for you at no extra cost.
