Physical Education

Fleetwood Park Secondary Physical and Health Education (PHE) curriculum focuses on developing students’ physical literacy, healthy living skills, and overall well-being from grade 8 through 12. Our curriculum emphasizes:

  • Building confidence and competence in diverse movement activities
  • Fostering positive personal and social development
  • Promoting lifelong healthy habits

Students learn about physical fitness, nutrition, mental health, substance use, sexual health, safety, and healthy relationships through experiential, connected learning.

The curriculum also highlights reflection, goal setting, and decision-making so that learners can understand how their choices influence both their own health and the well-being of others, preparing them to lead active, balanced, and informed lives.
