Y Mind Teen

Surrey City Centre Library, 10350 University Drive

Thursdays, April 4th - May 23rd 4:30PM -6PM 

 

To register, teens must attend an information session and/or complete an intake for the program.

 –Thurs March 7th OR March 14th, 4:30pm. Advance booking required as limited spots available.

 

Please spread the word to your students and networks so that we can reach more young people who could benefit from increased anxiety or stress support and coping skills.

 

Program details  

  • Free group program for teens aged 13 - 18 experiencing mild - moderate anxiety, stress or worries. 
  • Learn evidence-based strategies of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness & Self Compassion.  
  • Delivered by 2 trained mental health professionals.  
  • Maximum of 12 participants per group.  
  • Closed group program -same group participants each week.  
  • No diagnosis of anxiety needed.  
  • No YMCA membership needed. Free 14 week YMCA membership, book and workbook for all participants.  
  • Participants may self refer. Parental consent is not required.
