Back to school! What you need to know for Sept. 6!
School will be back in session Tuesday, Sept. 6 for students in the Surrey School District. Here is some opening day information you should know before the first bell rings!
Kindergarten: Kindergarten students are on a gradual entry schedule for the first two weeks of school, so start dates and times should be confirmed at each school. All kindergarten students will begin regular, full-time attendance on Monday, Sept. 19.
Elementary: Grade 1-7 classes will begin at 10 a.m. and will be dismissed early on opening day. Starting dates and times, and dismissal times, can be confirmed with your individual school.
Secondary: Secondary schools have a shortened first day as well, with start and end times varying by school and grade. (Click HERE for more information).
Opening class times and dates also vary at learning centres and should be confirmed with individual sites. The same goes for adult education courses.
