Earl Marriott Secondary Celebrates 50 Years
Earl Marriott Secondary in Surrey opened in September of 1973. For the past year, current staff at the school have been planning an event to celebrate this occasion. We will be hosting an Open House at EMS on Saturday April 27th, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
We invite all former students, teachers, and other staff to attend. Light refreshments will be served, and the school will be open for people to look around, find their old classrooms and lockers, and check out the various renovations which our building has undergone in the past few decades. We are so proud of our Wheelhouse Theatre, the welcome posts carved by Semiahmoo First Nations artists, the mural in our main gym, and many other improvements.
This is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with people you haven’t seen in years and take a trip down memory lane while looking at your graduation class composite or staff yearbook photos, along with other memorabilia which will be on display.
Scan QR code for ticket sales, tickets will be available at the door. The ticket sale proceeds will help offset the cost of the event, but a portion of the funds will be used for an Earl Marriott Scholarship for one of our current grade 12 students. We hope to see many Earl Marriott alumni at this event and are looking forward to reconnecting with old friends and former teachers!
