Jersey Day at Sunrise
On Thursday, April 12th students and staff at Sunrise joined all of Canada by wearing a sports jersey to show our support and compassion to the families of Bronco players and the community of Humboldt, Sask.
Our own Chrissy Furnell (EA) was a part of the small group of Langley hockey moms who initiated the idea of a Jersey Day. Thanks to social media, their caring idea became much bigger than they ever dreamed. In the face of tragedy this single day has, as we know, made a difference to the community of Humboldt.
