Policy 6950 - Safety/Security for School After-Hour Activities
| It is the wish of the Surrey Board of Education that extracurricular and other activities organized in schools for pupils outside of regular hours be encouraged to promote school spirit and broaden educational and school related experiences. |
| Principals will be expected to ensure the safety of pupils and the security of facilities when pupil activities are held in schools outside of regular school hours. To this end adequate supervision is to be ensured. |
| Uniformed personnel may be engaged to assist with supervision; but the school will be responsible for any costs incurred unless the activity concerned is initiated by the school district. |
