JH Theatre Company
JH Theatre Company's student written and composed play “Coffee, Anyone?” won first place (outstanding production) at the Surrey One Act Drama Festival and we now are going to Provincials!! “Coffee, Anyone?” will be representing the Surrey School District, the largest school district in BC, and competing against other winning plays from districts all over the province!
The BC National Theatre School Drama Festival (Provincials) is an annual competition that showcases the winning student work from across the province. Admittance is very competitive, it is a tremendous honor to be selected, and I am so proud of our kids. At Provincials, students will participate in workshops during the day, engage in social activities, watch shows in the evenings, and have a professional theatre artist adjudicate our performance.
Delegates are expected to spend the weekend at the official festival hotel (The Inn at the Quay in New Westminster), and we are in need of financial support to get us there. If you are able, we would greatly appreciate any donation you are willing to make to help alleviate the financial burden on individual families. It took a village of students to create and build "Coffee, Anyone?" and now we need our larger community to help us showcase our work on a larger scale.
