Accomplishments and Initiatives:
Recently completed 3 year implementaion of new Ministry of Education Numeracy Curriculum
Continue focus on Guided Reading and Bookend Assessments for reading for meaning (inferential and general knowledge skills)
Strong athletics: basketball, badminton, tennis table, ultimate Frisbee, track & field, cross country and soccer
Diversity Committee supports events for educational growth around understanding cultural differences
Music and fine arts extras include the school choir who perform at district and school events, a school guitar club and opportunities throughout the year to act, sing and MC
Student Council provides opportunities for student leadership
Senior students "Buddy" with younger students to be mentors
