Monday January 23 at 12 noon is the last day to order your pink shirt -This year we are going to try ordering our Pink Shirts directly from the supplier – go to www.jaydeesclothing.com/pinkshirts2023 - and the Password is pinkshirt2023.
Our boys and girls basketball teams are up and running and the children are having a great time. Thank you to Ms. Flint, Ms. Kang, Ms. Howes, Ms. Anderson and Mr. Loewen for coaching. The teams played their first games against MJ Norris and demonstrated good sportsmanship and teamwork. The boys team lost by one basket and the girls tied their game. Great job, Cougars!
Friday January 27th at 3:30 the PAC will be hosting a movie night - the doors open at 3:00 pm; children must be accompanied by an adult; 1 parent is free - any other parent will pay $3.50)
Jumpstart will be starting on January 31st for those students in grade 4.
Wednesday February 22 is Anti Bullying Day - Anti-Bullying Day/Pink Shirt Day is an annual event, held in Canada and other parts of the world, where people wear a pink-colored shirt to stand against bullying. The initiative was started in Canada, where it is held on the last Wednesday of February each year. Our school will be having a variety of activities taking place throughout the month. Our hope is that we are a sea of pink on that day.
Student and Family Affordability Fund
Hello Cougar Creek Families,
As shared this past fall, the Student and Family Affordability Fund is designed to assist families who require financial assistance with school-related costs in the following areas:
- - school and course fees
- - school supplies and course materials
- - field trips
- - school-related extracurricular opportunities
The additional funding is also used to support school meal program and other nutritional supports for students.
