Diwali Assembly – we will be having a Diwali Assembly on Monday October 24th from 10:45 – 11:30 – parents and families are welcome to come. Diwali is a “festival of lights” that celebrates the triumph of light over dark and good over evil, and the blessings of victory, freedom, and enlightenment. On the night of Diwali, celebrants light dozens of candles and clay lamps (called diyas), placing them throughout their homes and in the streets to light up the dark night.
Vancouver Symphony Opera – On Thursday October 20th our grade 4 students have an exciting opportunity to see the VSO with our talented music teacher Ms. Loewen.
PAC Annual General Meeting is on Monday October 31, 2022 at 1:30 - all are welcome to come out to our PAC Meeting - please consider becoming involved - without a PAC our school will not have treat day; hot lunch; fieldtrips and many other things.
Halloween – We will be having a Halloween Parade on Monday October 31, 2022 at 2:00 pm
We are aware of the concern from community members about the crosswalk that crosses across 122 street. We encourage all our families to take the time to fill out the "Report a Problem" form on the surrey.ca website, and request 'Traffic Calming' for that area close to our school.
If there are specific problems with dangerous driving, please phone the Surrey Non-Emergency Line to contact RCMP at 604-599-0502 or call 911 if it is an emergency. https://www.surrey.ca/services-payments/report-a-problem-or-submit-a-request
Report a Problem or Submit a Request | City of Surrey Report non-emergency problems to the City. For example, you can report things like illegal dumping, sidewalk issues, or problems within our parks. |
Have a wonderful and restful weekend!
