BACK TO SCHOOL - 2022/2023 School Year
Hello Parents, Students and Families,
The 2022 ~ 2023 school year is about to begin!! We hope you have enjoyed a restful and relaxing summer break with family and friends. We are very excited to welcome back all of our students. We would like to extend a special welcome to our incoming Kindergarten students and all those who are new to our Cougar Creek community.
GRADES 1 to 7
The first day back for our students will be Tuesday, September 6th. Students in grade 1 through 7 attend from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Students do not need to bring any supplies or snacks on this day. Wednesday will be the first full day of school for students in Grades 1 through 7. Students will attend from 8:35 AM to 2:30 PM. Students will need a snack and lunch beginning on Wednesday. Teachers will let students know what supplies will be needed at the Tuesday session.
Tuesday, Sept. 6th:
Grade 1's - Meet outside Ms. Ku's room
Grade 2's - Meet outside the Gate to the school garden area
Grade 3's - Meet outside Ms. Howes' room
Grade 4's - Meet outside Ms. Collins' room
Grade 5's - Meet outside Mr. Quinn and Ms. Buchannan's room
Grade 6's - Meet outside Ms. Sidhu's room
Grade 7's - Meet outside Ms. Horne's and Ms. Flint's room
KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS:
Tuesday, Sept. 6th - 10:00AM to 10:30AM
Meet at Ms. DySalvador's room
Kindergarten students will follow the gradual entry schedule, by last name, that was sent out directly to families (see below for reference).
Group B – Children with the LAST NAME M-Z.
HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLS
As we return to school, we continue to pay special attention to the heath, safety, and well-being of our students and staff. Please ensure you are still doing daily health checks with your child. Even if they have a negative COVID-19 test, but still have symptoms of common cold or flu viruses, they are to stay home until the symptoms are getting better. We will be sending students home who are unwell, as per our usual school protocols.
