Pink Shirt Day T-Shirt Orders - Due Friday, January 13th
Pink Shirt Day is next month on Wednesday, February 22nd. We encourage everyone to wear pink on Pink Shirt Day.
Pink Shirt Day began in Canada in 2007 when two students took a stand against homophobic bullying after a new Year 10 student was harassed and threatened for wearing pink. These students bought dozens of pink shirts and distributed them to their classmates to wear the next day.
If you don't already have a pink shirt, here is an opportunity to order one. Please download and complete the order form. Send it to school with your child with the exact cash or a cheque made out to Berkshire Park Elementary.
Today, our diversity is becoming more visible than ever as people continue to embrace their cultures, identities, and true-selves in more open and direct ways. The need to #LiftEachOtherUp by having greater acceptance, respect and inclusion for everyone is so important. Help us celebrate our diversity while raising funds for inclusive anti-bullying programs for kids in our communities. |
