Toonies for Terry - Terry Fox Run on Friday, September 23rd
Berkshire Park Elementary will be holding its annual Terry Fox Run on Friday, September 23rd. All students will be participating with their classes. Parents and family members are welcome to join us! You can meet us on the gravel field at 8:45am, as we will get under way as soon as attendance has been taken.
The Terry Fox Foundation has always appreciated the generous and consistent support offered every year by our school. Our goal this year is to raise $1500 in support of cancer research. Donations can be made in two ways:
- Parents wishing to donate online can use this link: https://schools.terryfox.ca/12334 If your donation is $20 or more, the Terry Fox Foundation will e-mail you a tax receipt.
- Students may bring their toonies to their classrooms to put in our collection bucket
This event will take place rain or shine, so please make sure your child is dressed appropriately.
We also need parent volunteers to act as marshals along the route. This job entails cheering on the children, pointing them in the right direction and making sure they are running safely. If you would like to be a marshal, please complete the form below and return it to the office by September 19th. The marshals will meet at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the run outside the office to receive maps and traffic cones.
