AP 514 - Use of Board-Owned Buses
Background
Buses owned by the Board of Education of School District No. 36 (Surrey) (the “Board”) are to be primarily used for the transportation of Surrey School District No. 36 (the “District”) students to and from school and school-related functions.
Procedures
| 1. | Only drivers who have received management approval are permitted to operate Board-owned buses.

| 2. | Notwithstanding the primary purpose of transporting students of the District, Board-owned buses may, when not required for such transportation, be available for:
a. | Occasional purposes related to the District, at the discretion of the Secretary-Treasurer; and
| | b. | Transporting groups of school-age children engaged in activities sponsored by other public bodies, including, other school boards, or parks and recreation commissions.

| 3. | All such secondary use shall be conditional upon the recovery of all costs.
