2022 Summer Learning registration opens April 4
Registration for Surrey Schools’ Summer Learning full credit academic courses for Grade 10-12 students and remedial courses for Grades 8-11 opens Monday, April 4.
With the second-largest summer learning program in the Lower Mainland, the district’s Summer Learning program offers dozens of courses every year for secondary students. This year’s offerings include the following subjects at various grades:
- English: English, Literary Studies, New Media, Creative Writing, English Studies
- Languages: French, Mandarin, Punjabi, Spanish
- Math: Math, Foundations of Math, Workplace Math, Calculus, Pre-Calculus
- Physical Education: Physical Education, Active Living, Fitness & Conditioning
- Sciences: Science, Chemistry, Physics, Life Sciences, Anatomy & Physiology
- Socials: Social Studies, Exploration of Social Studies, 20th Century World History, Human Geography, Physical Geography, Law Studies, Philosophy, Social Justice
- Trades: Automotive, Culinary, Trades Exploration
When registering, students will also have the opportunity to choose the location of their course at one of the following Summer School sites:
- Clayton Heights Secondary (full credit and remedial)
- Earl Marriott Secondary (full credit only)
- Enver Creek Secondary (full credit and remedial)
- Fraser Heights Secondary (full credit only)
- Guildford Park Secondary (full credit and remedial)
- Panorama Ridge Secondary (full credit only)
- Princess Margaret Secondary (full credit only)
- Invergarry Continuing Education Centre (students over the age of 19)
Kindergarten to Grade 7 students may attend summer learning by staff referral for courses on literacy and numeracy, Early French Immersion and Late French Immersion. More information is available from your child's classroom teacher or school principal.
