Have your say! Share your feedback in the district’s Student Wellness and Safety survey

Surrey Schools is inviting parents and guardians of students registered in the Surrey School District to participate in our districtwide consultation on student wellness and safety.

The online consultation survey includes questions on important topics including the mental health impacts of the pandemic, school safety, bullying and vaping. Parents are encouraged to share their views on their child’s experience.

“Over the past few months, we’ve heard from a number of parents across the district about their concerns,” said Laurie Larsen, Chair of the Surrey Board of Education. “Student wellness and safety is our first priority and we’re committed to ensuring the needs of our community are met. This consultation will allow parents to share their thoughts, and the board will review their responses to better inform district programs, services and procedures moving forward.”

“Direct feedback from parents and guardians about their child’s experience in our schools is so valuable in ensuring we can fully support our school communities,” said Jacob Sol, Assistant Superintendent for the Panorama and Sullivan zone. “Our board and district continue to strive to create positive and engaging learning environments for all students, taking into account their mental, physical and emotional health.”

The short online survey is available in multiple languages, including English, Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Punjabi, Spanish and Tagalog.

The survey will close at midnight on May 17, 2023. All responses are anonymous, and the survey will only take 5 to 10 minutes to complete.  Feedback from parents and guardians is important to us and will support our district in ensuring programs and services are responsive to the needs of our community.
