PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Education Assistant Diploma program prepares students to work along side classroom teachers in the school setting, supporting children and adolescents with disabilities, diverse abilities and educational support needs.

Our EA program will give you the knowledge and skills for employment in public and private schools, child care centres, and community drop in centres.   This program will be delivered in-person.  We have programs that start in September and February.  Our program is five months long and has two class times:

Daytime:  9am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday or

Evenings:  5pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday

Note: The practicum is eight weeks long and will take place Monday to Friday during the day for both daytime and evening classes.  The college arranges all practicums in Surrey public schools.  The eight weeks of practicum are included in the five-month program.
