Education Assistant Diploma Program
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Education Assistant Diploma program prepares students to work along side classroom teachers in the school setting, supporting children and adolescents with disabilities, diverse abilities and educational support needs.
Our EA program will give you the knowledge and skills for employment in public and private schools, child care centres, and community drop in centres. This program will be delivered in-person. We have programs that start in September and February. Our program is five months long and has two class times:
Daytime: 9am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday or
Evenings: 5pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday
Note: The practicum is eight weeks long and will take place Monday to Friday during the day for both daytime and evening classes. The college arranges all practicums in Surrey public schools. The eight weeks of practicum are included in the five-month program.

We are currently accepting complete applications by email for the September 2022 EA Program
APPLICATION PROCESS – Read the admission checklist below and submit by email all required documents. Incomplete applications will NOT be considered. Once all documents have been received applicants will be contacted to pay the $90 registration fee and will then be scheduled to participate in a facilitated conversation meeting – a group conversation with other applicants facilitated by college instructors.
Students cannot get Student Aid for college programs.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
To graduate, students must meet the following requirements:
Successful completion of all courses and practicums
Minimum 70% final mark in all courses
