Surrey Schools families and staff! Join us Dec. 4 for our first-ever Community Connections Fair!
In two weeks, the district’s Student Support department is hosting its first-ever Community Connections Fair, offering Surrey Schools students, parents and staff the opportunity to meet dozens of community partners all in one place!
The inaugural fair takes place Thursday, Dec. 4, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Resource Education Centre (14123 92nd Ave.) and was started by Student Support to improve awareness about the many resources available to families throughout the district. Community partners include Indigenous groups, child development organizations, health care authorities, mental health supports, mentorship programs and more.
“For families in our school communities, they can come to one spot and learn about and connect with the many organizations we work with that can assist and support them,” said Kristen Pawar, District Principal with Student Support.
The fair is for district families of all types, whether they’re newcomers to Surrey and White Rock or longstanding locals in need of resources.
