Career Education 8
Career Education 8 is part of a new redesigned provincial curriculum that focuses on the competencies and content required for career development. In the past, Career Education was part of the Health and Career Education (HACE) K–9, Planning 10, and Graduation Transitions programs. The review of all curricular areas has resulted in the health curriculum being combined with physical education to create a new, holistic Physical and Health Education curriculum.
The career components of Health and Career Education (HACE) have been re-envisioned as the Career Education K–12 curriculum. All grade 8 students at Semiahmoo Secondary must complete the requirements for Career Education 8 through the MyEdBC online portal. Students will be familiar with the online portal as this is the site where they completed their online course selection.
New assignments will be added on a monthly basis and all assignments must be completed by June 26th, 2017, in order to receive a mark for Career Education 8 on their final report card. Please see link below for more information on completing Careers 8 assignments.
