GRADE 7 PARENTS: The Math 8 Accelerated Entrance Assessment will be written at Earl Marriott Secondary in Early May (Date TBA) 2020 @ 3:00pm - 4:00pm. No registration is required. Special Offerings at EMS:
Math 8 Accelerated – this course allows students to complete math 8 and math 9 in one semester and accelerate to math 10 in their grade 9 year
**NEW** Math Workplace 8 and Workplace 9 -- This program is designed for students who need remediation of their math skills in order to be successful in Math. This course is for students who severely struggle with math and would not be successful in Math 8 (Regular). This course would cover the regular curriculum in an adapted manner. These students would then take the existing Math 10 Workplace and Math 11 Workplace courses.
Foundations and Pre-Calculus Math 10 Honours – this course is designed for students who excel at mathematics and our looking for an enriching experience. This is a highly requested course and spaces are limited.
AP Statistics – This course is a great opportunity for senior students looking to prepare for post-secondary education. Many Canadian (and US) universities grant advance credit to students who successfully complete this course/exam.
