What are your children learning at school?
At Dogwood, we believe that children must learn how to LEARN! This requires a small shift in how we look at education, recognizing that children must understand how their brain works in order to do this.
We will be teaching our students about their brain, how it FEELS to be calm, alert and learning, and how to get their brain to BE calm, alert and learning.
Along with this, we are also focusing on monthly "Dogwood SuperPowers" to help our students develop kindness, respect and good citizenship. There will be 'family' homework assignments, where your child will teach you something about what they are learning, and we will highlight and celebrate our efforts and learning at our monthly assemblies.
