The Canadian Criminal Justice System Course
The Surrey School District, in partnership with Nicola Valley Institute of Technology (NVIT), offers a course from the Law Enforcement Preparatory Program (LEPP). This partnership provides students in grade 12 with an opportunity to complete NVIT's LEPP 140 course, The Canadian Criminal Justice System, and begin a post-secondary diploma in law enforcement. Instruction is provided by a NVIT instructor. Participants earn both secondary school course credits and credit for NVIT course LEPP 140. This course is transferable to the Justice Institute of BC. LEPP class is held on Tuesday evenings from September to December at Kwantlen Park Secondary.
Applicants should demonstrate a strong interest in a law enforcement career and must be entering grade 12 in the coming school year.
