The B.C. government has announced that effective Sept. 1, 2017, graduated adults will be able to take high school credit courses tuition-free.
The Surrey School District's Adult Education Department is pleased to offer a wide selection of courses beginning in September for those who have graduated but want to take a new course, or those wishing to upgrade an existing mark.
Classes will be offered at the Invergarry Adult Education Centre (12722 88 Ave.) and the Queen Elizabeth Adult Education Centre (9457 King George Blvd.). Online classes may also be taken through SAIL (Surrey Academy of Innovative Learning).
The province has a list of courses that graduated adults may take free of charge.

Registration begins Aug. 28 and must be done in person. Queen Elizabeth will be open Monday through Thursday, from 1-8:30 p.m.
Invergarry will be taking registrations at the following times:
Week of Aug. 28:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Thursday 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m.
Friday - 8:30 a.m.-2:45 p.m.
Week of Sept. 5:
Tuesday & Thursday - 8:30 a.m.7 p.m.
Wednesday - 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Photo identification, as well as proof of B.C. residency and Canadian citizenship are required. See a list of the accepted documents HERE.
