The new Vision and Guiding Principles follows wide consultation and is supported by three key themes.
“We prepare our learners to think creatively and critically, communicate skilfully, and demonstrate care for self and others.” That’s the board Vision statement as a foundation for its goals and beliefs.
Supporting the Vision and Guiding Principles are three key themes under the title of “Learning by Design”. The themes are Learning, Structures and Tools for a Digital Age.
Consultations with various district stakeholder groups were held through last fall in gathering input and ideas to inform the process of developing and refining the district direction and priorities.
