Career education programs provide secondary school students (grades 11 and 12) with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and experience to further their education and employment opportunities.
Many of the district’s career programs are in partnership with British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), Emily Carr University of Art + Design (ECUAD), Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU), Nicola Valley Institute of Technology (NVIT) and Vancouver Community College (VCC) along with private training institutions.
The partnership program provides students with opportunities to receive industry certification or post-secondary course credits in addition to meeting the requirements for high school graduation.
Career programs also include Secondary School Apprenticeship, Co-op Education, career oriented programs and work experience placements.
